Contractors & trades

An emergency search is not browsing. It is triage.

A homeowner with water coming through a ceiling is not reading your About page. They are scanning for three things in about half a minute: does this company look legitimate, are they close enough to get here, and will somebody actually pick up.

That is why trade websites fail in a specific way. They open with a slogan and a stock photo of a handshake, put the phone number in the footer, and hide the licence details on a separate page. Every one of those choices costs a call from somebody who was ready to hire.

The other quiet loser is word of mouth. Someone recommends you at a barbecue, the homeowner looks you up that evening to check you are real, and finds a Facebook page last posted to in 2021. That referral was already yours and you lost it after the hard part was done.

01

Licensed, bonded, insured, with the number

Your CCB number goes up top where it settles the legitimacy question instantly. We only publish licence details that check out against the Oregon CCB record, because a wrong number is worse than none.

02

Emergency-first layout

If you answer after hours or on weekends, that goes in the first thing anyone reads, next to a number they can tap. For trades that run emergency work, this single change usually moves the needle more than everything else combined.

03

Service-area pages for every town you cover

One page cannot rank for a dozen towns. Each town your crews actually drive to gets real content about the work you do there, which is normally the biggest source of new calls for a trade covering a wide area.

04

Your work, photographed on the job

Phone photos from a real job site beat stock images every time, because customers can tell instantly which is which. Before-and-after pairs do more selling than any paragraph we could write for you.

05

Fast on a bad signal, in a basement

Hand-built and lightweight. Your customers are frequently standing in a crawlspace or a driveway with one bar, and a site that takes eight seconds to load has already lost to one that took two.

What it costs

Scoped to the operation.

A solo tradesman and a company running four crews across three counties need different sites and should not pay the same. No price list, no packages. A flat written quote after you have seen your preview.

Solo & small

A single page

One fast page that answers the emergency question. Licence, reviews, services, service area, and a number that cannot be missed.

Most trades

A full site

Service pages for each trade you offer, service-area pages for the towns you cover, a project gallery, and a Google Business Profile tune-up.

Multi-crew

Something bigger

Quote request forms, dispatch-friendly contact routing, several locations, or migrating a large site you have outgrown.

Common questions

Contractor websites, answered plainly

Will my CCB number be on the site?

Yes, and prominently. Licensed, bonded and insured with a real CCB number is the fastest way to separate yourself from whoever is quoting the same job out of a truck. We only publish licence details we can verify against the Oregon CCB record.

Most of my work comes in as emergency calls. Does that change the design?

It changes everything about it. An emergency search is a person in trouble with about thirty seconds of patience. The layout leads with the phone number, the fact you answer after hours, and how fast you can be there. Everything else moves down the page or off it.

I do not have good photos of my work. Is that a problem?

It is worth fixing but it is not a blocker. Phone photos from a job site are genuinely better than stock images, because customers can tell the difference immediately. We will build with what you have and show you exactly which shots would earn their place.

How do I rank in all the towns my crews drive to?

With service-area pages. One page cannot rank for a dozen towns, so each town that matters gets real content about the work you do there. This is usually the single biggest source of new calls for a trade covering a wide area.

I get plenty of work by word of mouth. Why bother?

Because word of mouth now ends in a search. Somebody recommends you, the customer looks you up to check you are real, and what they find decides whether they call. A missing or dated site quietly loses referrals that were already yours.
